Lunch – make your own arrangements. You may also book Option 3 to visit to the Latreille house which is just off the return route.

Dinner Saturday Pt1

Saturday March 12: Dinner; farewell to week one at Antonio’s Italian Restaurant – $35 per head inc free glass of house wine

Friday Option 2 Pt2

Friday March 18 Option 2:
A scenic drive of around 130 km through South Gippsland with a visit to the State Coal Mine for a morning stop to lunch at a local winery and return. LUNCH MUST BE BOOKED AND PAID for with entry. This could also be combined with Option 3 – a visit to the Latreille House with an additional 80 km driving.

The State Coal Mine at Wonthaggi  produced black coal for the railways from 1910 to 1968. It is very interesting visit involving a little walking. This would add about 20 km. Unfortunately underground mine tours are not possible at the present time due to maintenance and there is only a moderate chance that it will be operating at the time of our visit but the above-ground tour is very interesting in itself.   There is a well located café here.

$30.00
Friday Option 3 Pt2

Friday March 18 Option 3:
Peter Latreille has invited members to visit his South Walkerville house 3 PM onward, where a cup of tea or coffee or a glass of wine might be found. No doubt a bottle of red would be appreciated here. This is just off the return route from Wilson’s Prom. Although there is no charge, PLACES SHOULD BE BOOKED to give Peter numbers.
