A Tour of the Western Districts Specially Designed for Lancisti

FINAL RELEASE

We are planning a tour of the volcanoes and beautiful lakes of the Western Districts of Victoria which will include visits to a couple of fine homes and gardens, a car museum and lunch at the Royal Mail in Dunkeld, among many other excitements. This will run in the week following the Castlemaine rally, from Monday 23rd October to Sunday 29th.It will start in Castlemaine on Monday morning with a drive south and an overnight stay in Camperdown, before moving on to the coastal city of Warrnambool for two nights, then north to Dunkeld for lunch in one of Victoria’s great country restaurants and from there to the regional capital of Hamilton, returning to Melbourne on Sunday.   For those interested the tour will be extended for a further 3 days to the famous Coonawarra wine district and on to the Blue lake near Mt Gambier.

The driving will not be onerous, probably no more than 250 kms per day.

We hope to have a guide with us around the volcanic areas near Camperdown and one also for some important aboriginal sites near Hamilton.

Numbers will be limited to 40 people on a first come, first served basis.
